Common Birds of Atlanta, unlike other bird books, presents only the birds you are most likely to see as a casual bird watcher, and also unlike those books, it arranges the birds by size! Authors Jim Wilson and Anselm Atkins have been avid birders and conservation activists for many years. Both have been closely associated with the Atlanta Audubon Society. Wilson teaches and carries out research at Emory University with a avian photography as his hobby. Atkins was an artist and writer. |
